Associate Director, U.S. Financial Resource Optimization

Description

This role supports financial analysis related to financial resource optimization and strategic projects for RBC's US Region, advising the Head of U.S FPM and US CFO. The individual will be responsible for developing analytics and thought leadership on the optimization of capital and funding, understanding the linkages between various financial components, and supporting US ALCO and strategic initiatives. The role also involves developing solutions for local constraints and supporting functional and business leadership on US region financial resources strategy.

What We're Looking For

Support the US Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) to facilitate result-driven discussions, partnering with business heads and functional leads.,Develop and manage analytics on funding optimization, aiming to reduce wholesale funding reliance and increase deposit-funded loans across US business platforms and booking locations.,Develop and manage analytics on IHC and subsidiary legal entity capital to optimize the capital base in the US, including analysis on key metrics like legal entity ROEs and NIAT impacts.,Partner with stakeholders such as Corp Treasury and business segments to develop a consistent framework for Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) reporting and analytics across CUSO.,Support U.S. CEO and U.S CFO with the execution of RBC's U.S. strategy, particularly regarding capital and funding impacts of business growth initiatives.,Produce RIHC Board Committee reporting and analysis on funding and capital for the US region for quarterly U.S. CFO Report to IHC Board Audit Committee and other follow-up items.,Provide support to US CFO/senior management on strategic analysis related to the US Region, facilitating decision-making based on regional regulatory/legal entity considerations.,Partner with businesses as a trusted advisor, providing US region expertise including understanding local regulatory rules and constraints.,Support integration of finance, business advisory/business manager functions to drive process and resource optimization, develop platforms for regional business engagement, and enhance finance strategy.,Enhance FPM linkages with Head Office functions (Finance, Treasury, and Risk), functioning as an SME on head office performance metrics calculations such as RWA, Capital allocation, and ROE.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in business (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing), Data Science, Statistics, or other similar majors preferred.,5+ years relevant experience, preferably in executive management reporting.,Experience with Funds Transfer Pricing and/or Financial Resource Optimization a plus (Nice-to-have).
