Associate Director, Spread Products Advisory

Description

Join RBC's Finance team as an Associate Director, supporting the Spread Products business within Global Markets. This advisory role involves partnering with senior leaders and trading desks to drive financial reporting, forecasting, and planning cycles across Investment Grade, Securitization, and Municipal products. The role requires presenting insights to Operating Committees and influencing strategic business decisions, offering high visibility and career advancement opportunities.

What We're Looking For

Responsibilities include serving as the primary financial advisor to Spread Products desks, leading monthly P&L reporting, developing and executing forecasting and planning models, partnering with various functions for business planning and data analysis, overseeing and mentoring an analyst, leading the annual budgeting process, building strong relationships, and supporting cross-functional initiatives. Must-haves include 5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or advisory in banking/capital markets, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, strong understanding of financial statements, excellent presentation and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Nice-to-haves include product knowledge in fixed income, credit, derivatives, securitization, or municipal markets, experience in a matrix or global environment, ability to influence stakeholders, and background in financial forecasting/budgeting.

Ideal Candidate

5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or advisory roles in banking or capital markets; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Strong understanding of financial statements; Excellent presentation and communication skills; Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work. Nice-to-have: Product knowledge in fixed income, credit, derivatives, securitization, or municipal markets; Experience working in a matrix or global environment; Proven ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders; Background in financial forecasting or budgeting processes.
