Associate Director, Senior Business Systems Analyst

Description

RBC Capital Markets (Canada) is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for its e-Communications Surveillance Technology team. The role involves performing surveillance of communication channels to ensure regulatory compliance and expanding coverage to retail businesses trading securities.

What We're Looking For

Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document workflows, process flows, data, and document attribute requirements for the surveillance platform.

Apply various elicitation techniques to gather requirements and maintain the backlog.

Translate requirements from various stakeholders into functional requirements for implementation, development, and testing teams.

Develop subject matter expertise and an end-to-end understanding of business processes supporting surveillance.

Coordinate and partner with external vendors and internal development teams to build solutions.

Configure or provide configuration requirements for data/document/orchestration in Smarsh (or equivalent surveillance SaaS vendor).

Participate in/conduct/coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system validation.

Investigate and provide root cause analysis for defects and change requests.

Develop and maintain training materials for end-users.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve end-to-end system processes.

Participate in Agile or Waterfall SDLC rituals.

Partner with external vendors and development teams to build solutions.

Partner with other technology partners within the bank to agree on integration requirements.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

6+ Years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.

Strong requirements gathering, elicitation, analysis, validation, documentation, and maintenance skills.

Experience in using various elicitation techniques.

Experience in maintaining/grooming the backlog and requirements traceability.

Experience in creating BRDs, FRDs, User stories, process/data flow diagrams.

Experience in Agile Business Analysis Tools such as JIRA, Confluence.

Experience in Stakeholder management.

Experience in specifying and articulating process flows, data mappings, systems interaction, and data integration requirements.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strong communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment.

Commitment to maintain confidentiality and data security.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Proactive mindset with a focus on delivering results.

Strong knowledge of Compliance and Surveillance Technology/Surveillance Systems (Nice to have).

Experience having dealt with Smarsh/Behavox/Proofpoint/Bvault/ or any other Surveillance Platform vendors (Nice to have).

Financial Industry experience, or capital markets (strongly preferred).
