Associate Director, PC GIB/CIB Canada & Europe

Description

This role involves leading a team of analysts in product control for Corporate & Investment Banking (C&IB) at Royal Bank of Canada. The Associate Director ensures accurate daily financial reporting and acts as a key liaison with various internal units. Key responsibilities include managing daily and monthly accounting, reconciliations, and attestations, providing responses to various requests, assessing process impacts, streamlining activities, and leading bank-sponsored projects to ensure data integrity and process improvements.

What We're Looking For

Build and manage a team of senior analysts and Managers that produce daily P/L and perform risk-based decompositions.,Manage information flow of all business activity to ensure business partners obtain relevant information.,Ensure that daily sign-off is obtained by the Front Office in a timely fashion.,Attest to all monthly accounting entries to the G/L and conduct reconciliations.,Represent Product Control in meetings acting as business lead for specific projects.,Develop and implement a strategic plan for consistent support across all business units through staff cross training.,Review and sign-off on daily and monthly procedure manuals and documentation.,Act as backup to the Director of C&IB Product Control.,Identify opportunities to improve Product Control processes and productivity.,Manage and initiate the implementation of internal controls and ensure data integrity.,Lead Product Control in new system initiatives and manage any implementation projects.,Ensure that any new initiatives/products have minimal impact to daily/monthly operations.

Ideal Candidate

University degree and CA/CMA/CGA/CPA/CFA (or equivalent experience).

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree, Professional Certifications (CA/CMA/CGA/CPA/CFA)
