Description

This opportunity involves joining the Group Risk Management – Wholesale Credit team at Royal Bank of Canada, focusing on risk assessment and adjudication of Capital Markets and Corporate Client Group transactions globally. The role requires an intellectually curious individual with a drive to understand complex corporate credits to provide effective analysis of business and financial risks and comprehensive credit approval recommendations. As an Associate Director covering the Transportation and building materials industries, the successful candidate will apply their experience in financial analysis and credit to quickly identify relevant information for success.

What We're Looking For

Work closely with the business on risk aspects of new transactions, providing guidance to ensure adequate mitigation of key risk concerns.,Review Transaction Requests, term sheets, and risk assessments within agreed timelines, highlighting policy exceptions and suggesting enhancements.,Ensure an appropriate balance between Risk and Return.,Review and adjudicate financial models.,Assist in continuous oversight of borrower's business and financial performance through monitoring financial and industry information, regulatory changes, third-party analysis, and other early warning signals.,Minimum 5 years of experience working in a financial institution, preferably in lending.,Good understanding of loan and trading credit products with a proven track record of building effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.,Significant experience with Excel, including as a tool for financial analysis, and a good understanding of financial modelling and financial statement analysis.,Analytical and intellectually curious mindset.,Ability to deal with obstacles and develop effective solutions/recommendations on tight timelines.,Strong communication skills (both written and presentation) and ability to work with others in a collaborative manner.
