Associate Director, Finance Technology Transformation and Data Strategy

This role at RBC Capital Markets focuses on shaping the technology and data strategy for Finance Performance Management. The Associate Director will lead process transformations in financial and management reporting, utilizing emerging technologies including AI, and drive the adoption of finance technology and digital tools. Key aspects include enhancing data insights through business intelligence tools and improving timeliness and quality of reporting.

What We're Looking For

Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in financial and management reporting using emerging technologies.

Drive broad adoption of technology and digital tools across Finance Performance Management.

Articulate benefits of emerging technologies and propose solutions for process pain-points.

Set goals and KPIs for the CFO Group and monitor progress.

Automate manual processes to enhance accuracy and control effectiveness.

Employ business intelligence tools for timely and high-quality report generation.

Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot and resolve application and functional support issues for financial reporting systems.

Review and advise on IT initiatives prioritization for Finance Performance Management.

Act as the primary Finance contact with IT, advocating for Capital Markets Performance Management.

Provide technical and administrative support on financial systems and develop reports.

Educate the team on technology advancements and act as a trusted advisor.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate University Degree (Business, Finance, Computer Science related fields)

Professional designation or MBA (Nice-to-have)

Exposure to Capital Markets businesses, financial reporting systems, business intelligence tools, and AI applications (Nice-to-have)
