Associate Director – Credit Risk & Portfolio Management

Description

The Associate Director, Credit Risk & Portfolio Management, reports to the Senior Director and is responsible for performing analyses, identifying trends, providing insights, and making recommendations to management on consumer credit risk at RBC Bank, with a focus on the Credit Access Line portfolio. Key duties include leading deep dive analytics, developing and enhancing credit risk dashboards, improving analysis efficiency through automation and new technologies (including AI), preparing executive-level presentations, and supporting various credit risk initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Lead deep dive analytics and provide early warning indicators to facilitate recommendations for executives.

Develop or enhance ongoing credit risk dashboards and routines.

Increase quality and efficiency of analyses, dashboards, and processes through automation, scheduling, and new data, tools, and analytical techniques (leveraging AI as appropriate).

Lead preparation of executive-level presentations.

Support Credit Risk & Portfolio Management initiatives, analytics, and ad hoc requests.

Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or other quantitative field of study.

5+ years related work experience with SQL, Python, SAS or equivalent programming experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Proven analytical skills.

Ability to be effective and equally conversant in business and technical environments.

Creative thinker to solve complex problems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

Strong understanding of consumer behavior and credit risk.

Proven ability to connect process, policy, system, and data and establish impact when any changes.

Collaborative and supportive attitude.
