This role at RBC involves overseeing and governing IT processes within the US IT Operating Model. The Associate Director will be responsible for assessing IT operations, ensuring compliance with RBC IT Policies, standards, and US regulatory expectations. This includes building relationships with IT process owners, reviewing process definitions, and driving consistency in governance, risk management, and value realization across technology programs supporting the CUSO.
Continuously improve the US IT Target Operating Model, driving accountability and consistent execution of IT processes supporting US business entities.,Execute US CIO BAU Operating Model capabilities in collaboration with Line of Business and Functions IT teams.,Enable effective process execution through structured reviews and documentation, identifying areas for improvement and standardization.,Foster a collaborative environment with US IT stakeholders to ensure seamless development of key metrics and successful governance outcomes.,Establish relationships with Second Line of Defense Cyber & IT Risk function and RBC US Internal Audit for transparent governance over CUSO IT Operations.,Define, monitor, and analyze US IT processes and metrics to provide data-driven recommendations and early warning of risks.,Participate in relevant RBC US first and second line governance forums.,7+ years’ experience in the financial services industry in IT Governance, Risk Management, or IT Operations Management, with a demonstrated understanding of IT systems and operational processes and regulatory compliance.,Proven expertise across various IT process domains, connecting governance, resilience, service management, performance, and operational effectiveness into a unified framework.,Solid verbal and written communication skills to distill complex issues into clear narratives for senior management.,Experience with process modeling or documentation tools such as Visio.,Familiarity with supervisory expectations from US Regulators, including FFIEC IT Examination Handbooks, Federal Reserve Supervisor Letters, and OCC Bulletin.,Strong understanding of cybersecurity, IT risk management, IT resiliency, IT infrastructure, IT operations, IT service delivery, and IT change management processes.,Experience in coordinating transformational efforts within large, complex ecosystems across disparate stakeholders.
Certification by a recognized industry body in relevant IT Governance, Risk Management, IT Operations, IT Resiliency or IT Service Delivery topics (Nice-to-have)
