Associate Director - Fixed Income Production Services

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking an experienced Production Services Leader for their Capital Markets, QTS, Fixed Income Production Application Support team. This role involves leading the delivery of production application support services for the Fixed Income Business, adhering to ITIL principles, and acting as the primary escalation point for production issues. The successful candidate will interface with business, development, and infrastructure teams, ensuring world-class 24x7 support across multiple time zones.

What We're Looking For

Act as regional lead for multiple production support teams in the UK and India, ensuring 24x7 support.,Operate as a Player/Coach with technical, business, leadership, project, and communication skills.,Possess superior Major Incident Management experience.,Manage production, acting as a 24x7 escalation point for operational teams, participating in incident response, problem management, and root cause analysis.,Drive production stability, reliability, and service excellence through a data-driven approach.,Partner with Application Development teams and external vendors for continuous improvement.,Ensure accurate logging of support incidents, conduct Incident and Problem Review Meetings, and track action items.,Drive efficiencies through tool and process improvements.,Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to team members.,Extensive experience in IT with strong knowledge of Capital Markets, including Fixed Income Products (FX, Cash, Derivatives, Structured Products, Commodities and Futures).,Solid Supervisory / Management experience in technology support of Capital Markets trading and related functions.,Knowledge of Fixed Income trading activities (Pricing, booking, execution, live risk, market risk, etc.), market data feeds, and applications such as ION, Murex, Bloomberg TOMS, Openlink, XTP is highly desirable.,Knowledge of distributed data warehousing and analytics platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.,Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good temperament, with the ability to interface with challenging trading clients.,Ability to manage priorities from trading desks and work across IT and external vendors to resolve issues.,Solid Linux, SQL, and scripting language experience (Shell, Perl, Java, Python, etc.).,Experience with Database, Linux, Windows, and basic infrastructure.,Good Knowledge of enterprise scheduler platforms and monitoring tools (i.e. Control-M, Geneos, Tableau and Service Now).,Working knowledge of underlying infrastructure and interoperability (servers, storage, network, middleware).,Solid knowledge of and experience implementing ITIL Service management practices (Event, Incident, Problem and Change management activities).,Production data Analysis using Service Now, Powerpoint presentations, MS Excel charts.

Ideal Candidate

Extensive IT experience with strong Capital Markets knowledge, including Fixed Income Products.,Solid Supervisory/Management experience in technology support for Capital Markets trading.,Knowledge of Fixed Income trading activities and applications (ION, Murex, Bloomberg TOMS, Openlink, XTP) (desirable).,Knowledge of distributed data warehousing and analytics platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).,Solid Linux, SQL, and scripting language experience (Shell, Perl, Java, Python).,Experience with Database, Linux, Windows, and basic infrastructure.,Good knowledge of enterprise scheduler platforms and monitoring tools (Control-M, Geneos, Tableau, Service Now).,Working knowledge of underlying infrastructure and interoperability (servers, storage, network, middleware).,Solid knowledge and experience with ITIL Service management practices.,Production data analysis using Service Now, PowerPoint, MS Excel.,Working knowledge of Murex (Nice to have).,Experience in DevOps and cloud technology (AWS, GridGain) (Nice to have).,Experience to support MQ, SOLACE and RV/RMDS (Nice to have).
