This role is for an Associate in the Commercial Banking Associate Program at CIBC. It involves a structured training program with classroom and on-the-job components, focusing on helping businesses achieve their potential. The associate will learn to deliver flexible business solutions, provide timely expertise, and support client acquisition, relationship management, and transactional assistance for financing solutions. The ultimate goal is to progress to a Relationship Manager role overseeing a client portfolio. The position also includes assisting Commercial Banking Managers with client relationships, new financing transactions, financial and industry analysis, and participating in sales cycle activities.

Must be in final year of post-secondary education pursuing a degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fields with an expected graduation date before May 31st, 2026.,Demonstrated experience in the field.,Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis.,Knowledge of commercial banking products and service offerings (an asset).,Ability to analyze business growth opportunities through industry, client, and prospect research.,Skilled in organizing analysis for credit submissions, including structuring and documentation.,Passion for people and building relationships through community engagement, marketing, and outreach.,Ability to develop new relationships through referrals and centers of influence.,Skilled communicator (written and spoken), open to ideas, active listener, and enjoys collaborating.,Motivated by collective success, enjoys teamwork, and provides guidance on treasury best practices and cash management solutions.,Client-first mindset, proactively assessing needs and proposing solutions.,Understanding of business and financial concepts to provide best-in-class service and proposals.,Goal-oriented, focused on meeting goals and making an impact.,Fluent in French and English.
