Associate Advisor

Description

The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Dominion Securities branch in Coquitlam is looking for an Associate Advisor. This role focuses on strengthening client relationships by providing advice and support to clients and Investment Advisors, while also identifying and helping to grow new business opportunities.

What We're Looking For

Coordinate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with clients and prospects, including agenda setting, document preparation, and post-meeting tasks.

Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to detail.

Respond to client account inquiries and ensure timely follow-up.

Identify and execute opportunities within the existing client base for asset consolidation and referrals.

Co-manage the client acquisition pipeline with the advisory team to close new opportunities.

Deepen existing relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) through ongoing management.

Perform trading and/or portfolio rebalancing.

Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments, providing regular updates to the advisory team.

Support the advisory team and clients through the Wealth Management process, which involves gathering relevant information, coordinating with Wealth Management specialists, tracking progress, and following up.

Ideal Candidate

Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC

Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE)

Retail Securities Exam

University degree

A self-directed individual with a growth and goals-oriented mindset

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Strong Microsoft Office skills

Nice-to-have: 4 years or more of professional experience within the investment industry

Nice-to-have: Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice-to-have: Highly developed client service skills
