Associate / Vice President – Consumer ABS Securitization Finance

The Securitization Finance Associate/Vice President is responsible for marketing, structuring, and executing securitized transactions for RBC's clients. The role aims to provide high-quality products and services, generate revenue, ensure a favorable risk/return profile, create cross-selling opportunities, and enhance client impact for RBC.

What We're Looking For

Prepare marketing materials for existing and target clients,Assist with client sponsorship review,Provide data analysis, including statistical stratification of collateral portfolios, historical performance statistics, projection of future performance expectations, and derivation of expected case losses,Prepare credit write-ups (Transaction Request) for credit (GRM), business (ComCom), and Rating Agency approvals,Prepare annual renewals of existing ABCP and on balance sheet transactions,Liaise with Rating Agencies to obtain approval for securitization transactions,Participate in client due diligence sessions and prepare diligence write-ups,Prepare necessary materials for transaction amendments,Help clients and Middle Office develop settlement reports that meet the terms and conditions of each transaction,Prepare Seller Reports and require KME templates,Proactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the business,Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to business activities,Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks to line manager and relevant risk and control functions in a timely basis

Ideal Candidate

Must Have: Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, engineering or mathematics preferred but not required,Must Have: 1+ years of direct experience gained in the Securitization team of a financial institution, Rating Agency, law firm or issuing client preferred but not required,Must Have: Series 7, 63 and 79 (will be required within a reasonable time after joining if not currently held),Nice to Have: College graduate with history of strong academic performance,Nice to Have: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills,Nice to Have: Experience developing pitch books for ABS issuers,Nice to Have: Experience executing ABS transactions (Consumer asset classes),Nice to Have: Ambition, eagerness and curiosity to learn and develop new asset classes,Nice to Have: Solutions-oriented approach to issues and problems,Nice to Have: Energetic self-starter who functions well in fast-paced, team-oriented environment,Nice to Have: Willingness to work closely with and learn from both senior and junior team members
