Description

The Associate, Conference Strategy & Events Execution, Market Management role at TD Securities supports the Market Management team in strengthening the Transaction Banking brand both internally and externally. The position focuses on providing analytical and operational support for conference strategy, from identifying relevant events and coordinating internal readiness to capturing outcomes. This ensures conference participation and sponsorships are intentional, well-governed, and measurable, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and supporting strategic decisions that enhance Transaction Banking’s market positioning.

What We're Looking For

Maintain and evolve a cross-LOB database of conference attendance, sponsorship, and spend.

Project, monitor, and report conference spend across Transaction Banking LOBs.

Conduct regular analysis of the conference landscape, including legacy, specialty, or emerging opportunities.

Build and apply frameworks to assess value (e.g., objectives, ROI, and impact measurement).

Review merits of conference sponsorship proposals for LOBs based on business objectives and purpose.

Work with stakeholders to ensure effective negotiation with partners and delegation of benefits.

Coordinate and project manage with third-party communications (event organizers, booth vendors, logistics providers).

Manage deadlines and coordination for speaking engagement proposals, including preparation, consolidation, and submission.

Maintain and refresh a list of internal and external speakers, projects, and nominees; research themes, audiences, and potential speaker/awardee fit.

Coordinate within TD and with external speakers to ensure they are registered/booked/approved and support talking points review.

Coordinate updates to event/meeting briefing notes and support the creation of conference materials (product updates, booth maps, client invitations).

Be on-site at important conferences to manage welcome desks, refresh meeting rooms, coordinate speakers, and manage vendors.

Coordinate post-conference knowledge sharing among attendees and ensure dissemination of key outputs.

Ensure learnings from conferences feed into Transaction Banking thought leadership and inform future speaker proposals and event strategies.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree

3-5 years of relevant work experience

Knowledge of Transaction Banking (strongly preferred)
