Associate - Regulatory Initiatives, Market Risk

Description

RBC is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Market Risk Regulatory Initiatives team. The role focuses on Volcker regulations and enhancing reporting infrastructure, requiring strong programming and analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. The associate will also need to be comfortable working under pressure and presenting to senior management and trading desks.

What We're Looking For

Conduct risk analysis to ensure adherence to Volcker Rule requirements.,Build and maintain control reports for ongoing risk monitoring.,Identify, escalate, and resolve issues promptly with proper documentation.,Support regulatory reporting submissions and manage timelines.,Create clear communications and presentations for governance committees, working groups, and senior management.,Draft supporting documentation, including methodology, process flow, system lineage, and control test evidence.,Liaise with trading desks, local market risk, front office supervision, product control, regulatory operations, and compliance to validate data accuracy and control effectiveness.,Automate manual analysis using Python, SQL, or other programming tools.,Review existing Volcker reports and data infrastructure for inefficiencies, optimization, and enhancements.,Document process improvements and create user guides/runbooks.,Monitor report quality and SLAs; troubleshoot data issues and recommend remediation.
