The Assistant Technical Director at Moment Factory supports the Technical Director in organizing the technical aspects of projects from design to installation. This involves producing plans, defining product specifications, conducting technical studies, coordinating departments, and facilitating technical information flow within the team. Collaborate with the creative team to deliver projects within artistic, technical, and budgetary constraints, preserving the vision of designers and clients.,Evaluate technical feasibility of projects based on allocated budgets.,Travel abroad for site visits, scouting, and supervision of on-site installations.,Participate in financial setup of projects and ensure sound management of the technical budget.,Optimize project management and communication between technical and creative departments (e.g., leading meetings, producing data tables, organizing file structure).,Develop production, installation, and dismantling schedules in close collaboration with the Technical Director.,Plan necessary internal and external project resources.,Propose audiovisual product and control solutions based on specific project needs, in collaboration with the team.,Plan and execute various technological, scenographic, and UX tests and prototypes.,Collaborate with technical drawing and AV design teams for the development of connection and location plans for technical equipment.,Ensure the success of on-site installations by adhering to CNESST (or local) construction, health, and safety at work codes and standards.,Develop and update technical reference and operation documentation for projects in collaboration with the documentation manager.
4 years of relevant experience in managing multimedia live art projects and/or permanent AV installations, or 4 years of experience in a related field.,Technical training in audiovisual, electronics, theatrical production, or multimedia, or 4 years of experience in a related field.,Project management training.,Bachelor's Degree.
