Assistant Manager, Documentary Collections

Description

This role involves managing the daily operations of the Documentary Collections team, which handles high-profile, high-risk, and time-sensitive transactions for a global client base. The incumbent will lead a team of employees responsible for end-to-end processing, operationalizing client care strategies, maximizing transaction processing efficiency and effectiveness, problem resolution, and integrating new initiatives, including automation through RPA.

What We're Looking For

Overall responsibility for client satisfaction relating to Documentary Collections.

Meet monthly Key Performance Indicators and participate in PTO Quality Initiatives.

Effectively manage relationships with all partners including BBE, P&CB, Capital Markets, IT, and Products/Sales Management teams.

Serve as the primary contact and referral for service partners across RBC businesses for Documentary Collections processes.

Optimize the Centre's operational efficiency with a continuous improvement mindset, including capacity/costing management, and support RPA initiatives.

Identify synergies with other teams to ensure adequate coverage and support a flexible, agile workforce.

Ensure employees understand RBC vision, support targeted behaviors, set individual goals, drive performance management, support career development, and reward strong performance.

Accept and execute change successfully while supporting employees through the process.

Identify and resolve high-risk/high-impact situations, ensuring quality business decisions.

Adhere to the Business Plan (NIE/FTE).

Build and support governance processes, and manage/mitigate operational risk related to Trade Processing, including AML, ICR, RCSA, IAS, and BCP/DRP.

Be fully conversant in Business Continuity Planning.

Ideal Candidate

5+ years of Trade Service experience.

2+ years of People Leadership experience.

Performance-driven individual focused on ongoing coaching/training.

Strong organizational, problem-solving & decision-making skills.

Solid communication.
