The Toronto-Dominion Bank is seeking a highly motivated Applied Machine Learning Scientist to join its AI2 team. This role involves developing and deploying ML solutions, including Predictive and Generative AI models, to support data-driven decision-making within the Business Banking division and deliver significant business impact. The successful candidate will work on high-impact initiatives in a rapidly growing function, translating business problems into analytical frameworks and ensuring robust model performance in production.

## Compensation Details

This role is temporarily eligible for a pay premium above the posted salary range that is reassessed annually.

What We're Looking For

Develop, deploy, and maintain Predictive and Generative AI models for use cases such as Agentic AI, LLM-based models, Pricing, and Anomaly Detection.,Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define success metrics and solution approaches.,Conduct rigorous model evaluation, documentation, A/B testing, and monitoring to ensure model performance, fairness, and stability in production.,Communicate complex technical results to non-technical stakeholders and provide actionable insights.,Stay current with ML research and industry trends to bring innovative approaches into production.,2+ years of experience applying machine learning to real-world business problems.,Proficiency in Python and key ML libraries.,Experience with structured and unstructured data, feature engineering, and model interpretability techniques.,Exposure to GenAI or large language models and their practical applications.,Hands-on experience with model deployment and monitoring in a production environment.,Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering results in cross-functional teams.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree required.,Advanced technical degree in a STEM field preferred.,Nice to Have: Experience working in financial services or regulated environments.,Nice to Have: Familiarity with causal inference, anomaly detection or agents.
