Animal Research Technician

Description

This role is for an In Vivo Technician I within the Safety Assessment team, focusing on training to perform basic tasks and procedures in a team environment. Responsibilities include animal handling and restraint, making clinical observations, monitoring food consumption, performing animal husbandry, and accurate data collection and reporting, all under close supervision.

What We're Looking For

Ensure good welfare and humane care for all animals through gentle, positive human-animal interactions.,Train in on-boarding tasks including animal handling, sexing, and restraint on multiple species.,Train in feeding, watering, and husbandry of multiple species.,Perform clinical observations, acclimation observations, and body weight determination on multiple species.,Conduct qualitative and quantitative food consumption monitoring.,Collect, document, review, and verify data on forms or in electronic data capture systems.,Review documentation as part of quality control requirements.,Use and maintain instrumentation and equipment.,Perform all other related duties as assigned.,Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa, now or in the future.

Ideal Candidate

Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) preferred. Associate (A.A./A.S.) or Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in a biological science, desired.,Experience: No previous experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.,Certification/Licensure: None, unless required by local government.

Minimum Education
