This role is for an Analyst in International Private Investments at CDPQ in Montreal. The successful candidate will support the transaction team in leveraged buyout operations and portfolio company monitoring. This is a collaborative and dynamic environment where the analyst will contribute to evaluating investment opportunities, performing financial modeling, preparing internal reports, reviewing financial statements, conducting market research, and supporting various meetings and analyses for portfolio companies.
Participate in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities and realization of mature investments by contributing to preliminary analyses and investment/divestment recommendation documents, under the supervision of senior team members.,Support the team by rigorously performing financial modeling and business model reviews.,Contribute to the preparation of internal reports respecting deadlines and ensuring updates are made.,Thoroughly review company financial reports, establish representative market comparables, and perform detailed analysis.,Support the team in preparing and organizing various discussions and meetings with partners, both internal and external to La Caisse.,Systematically conduct in-depth research on the situation and trends of monitored business sectors: proactively follow current events and gather information from key sources.,Contribute to and actively participate in studies and analyses related to potential targets or market niches the team wishes to explore.,Assist the team in producing value-added analyses for portfolio companies followed by the analyst.
1 to 3 years of experience in corporate finance, ideally in investment banking.,A first or second cycle degree in finance, economics, accounting, or any other related discipline.,An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field
Must be willing to travel internationally
