The Sustainable Finance Group at CIBC Capital Markets is seeking an Analyst to support clients in integrating sustainability features into their financing structures, including green, social, transition, and sustainability-linked financial products. This role involves providing analytical and research support, preparing presentations, and offering thought leadership on sustainability topics and market developments for clients and stakeholders within a dynamic work environment.

What We're Looking For

Develop pitch books and client materials related to sustainable finance products and ESG themes.,Assist in due diligence, audit, and reporting of quantitative data and non-financial disclosures related to CIBC’s sustainability commitments.,Identify opportunities for collaboration and origination of Sustainable Finance products with corporate origination teams.,Foster strong connectivity and collaboration across Capital Markets teams and enterprise-level functions.,Demonstrate a client-focused mindset and commitment to exceptional service.,Maintain awareness of client, industry, and regulatory updates, and relevant economic/political trends.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.,Basic to intermediate experience or education within finance or sustainability.,Previous experience in ESG advisory, ratings agency, consulting, and strategy (preferred).,Corporate finance/investment banking/private equity experience combined with completion of a CA or CFA (considered an asset).
