Seeking a motivated and technically adept Quantitative Financial Analyst to join the Municipal Investment Banking DCM team. This role involves designing and implementing a unified Business Opportunity Identification and External Client Portal platform to enhance RBC's technology leadership in Municipal Finance and drive revenue through deal identification. The candidate will work closely with leadership, developers, banking partners, and municipal issuer clients to create a market-leading proprietary Municipal Finance quantitative platform, utilizing complex datasets to identify business opportunities efficiently. The new systems will heavily emphasize AI and agentic workflows, offering exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies. Translate complex business models into AI-assisted Municipal Finance technology platforms using quantitative finance skills.,Work with large, complex SQL-based datasets to understand structure and relationships.,Assist in the production of automated financial models and reports leveraging Python, Excel VBA Macros, and/or SQL <–> Excel connections.,Document workflows, information management practices, and data flows by meeting with business stakeholders.,Translate business needs into clear, detailed business requirements and functional specifications.,Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process and data integration.,Collaborate with developers to deploy models and business requirements efficiently.,Support design, build, testing, and rollout of new data platforms.,Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and adoption across business users.,Provide ongoing support and manage iterative enhancements post-launch.,Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, senior management, and technology teams.
1-3 years of experience in quantitative finance, technology development, or financial services (Municipal Finance experience is a plus).,Bachelor's degree in quantitative finance, finance, real estate, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
