The Segregation & Buy-in Analyst works within a team responsible for ensuring clients' fully paid securities are held separately and managing buy-ins for Canadian and U.S. brokerages. This involves analyzing daily segregation deficiencies, resolving them within regulatory timeframes, and enforcing SEC's Regulation SHO. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and partner satisfaction within a dynamic environment.
Contribute to resolving segregation deficiencies and buy-ins within regulatory or market deadlines; Maintain close relationships with key partners; Learn applicable regulations (CIRO, SEC, FINRA); Demonstrate strong interest in data analysis; Analyze segregation deficiencies and ensure regularization; Send or resend buy-in notices and proceed with buy-ins; Identify transformation opportunities; Develop close relationships with partners.
Three-year college diploma or equivalent academic background related to the field, plus four years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree related to the field; Strong interest in regulation, securities, and financial markets; Knowledge of applicable regulations (an asset); Proficiency in the development and support of internal macros, particularly through low-code / no-code solutions (an asset); Familiarity with ISM(OSS), MAX/Arrow, AS400, and CDS/DTC platforms (an asset); Analytical and synthesis skills, initiative, autonomy, and ownership; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Bilingualism (spoken/written) in French and English is essential.
