This opportunity involves supporting the Japan Portfolio Manager(s) within the Global Asset Management (GAM) team. The role focuses on implementing stock screening processes, conducting on-the-ground research on companies and sectors as directed by the portfolio management team, and eventually taking on primary analyst coverage for specific sector universes.
Candidates must possess a good understanding of financial modeling, strong analytical capabilities to process research and information, and the ability to extract interesting trends. The role requires the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, strong initiative, and excellent teamwork skills. Attention to detail, strong command of Excel and PowerPoint, and excellent communication skills are essential. Fluency in written and spoken English is a must. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience or potential in information technology sector research, a broader Pan-Asia or global perspective, Japanese fluency, 2-5 years of relevant work experience (buy side, sell side, investment banking), a related degree (Business, Economics, Finance), CFA preference, and Bloomberg skills.
