Description

The Analyst - Futures Executions role within CM - Business and Client Services (BCS) at Royal Bank of Canada involves working closely with Futures Front Office and Futures Clearing teams to ensure controlled processes for reconciliation and validation of give-up and give-in execution fees, payment and collection of agreed-upon fees, accurate reflection of Futures Executions in financial results, and managing overall Futures Execution Receivables/Payables balances. The role focuses on performing operational aspects of CM FIC Futures functions, optimizing processes to mitigate risk, enhancing efficiency and control, and acting as a key contact for various internal and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Perform all operational aspects of CM FIC Futures functions.,Work with business and support functions to optimize processes to mitigate risk and enhance efficiency and control.,Act as key contact to Front Office, Futures Clearing, IT and FIA-Tech for Futures Execution functions.,Adhere to reporting requirements for all levels of management.,Maintain up to date Procedure Documents in accordance with RBC's Standing Orders.,Work closely with IT on understanding data/application workflows and establishing standard procedures.,Reconcile and attest GL and Balance Sheet, ensuring outstanding receivables/payables are in line with bank's books and records.,Participation in the delivery of CM - BCS Strategic objectives.,1 – 2 years of relevant experience.,Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.,Knowledge of end-to-end trade life cycle functions/processes within a Capital Markets, Securities Trading, or similar environment, specific to Futures Trading.,Understanding of the flow of costs related to Capital Markets business activities.,A change leader and conceptual/strategic thinker.,Strong Communication Skills.,Highly organized with attention to detail and an ability to analyze information.,Good working knowledge of Capital Markets operational functions and processes including familiarity with front, middle and back office trading and operating platforms and sub-ledger systems.

Ideal Candidate

1 – 2 years of relevant experience.,Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.,Knowledge of end-to-end trade life cycle functions/processes within a Capital Markets, Securities Trading, or similar environment, specific to Futures Trading.,Understanding of the flow of costs related to Capital Markets business activities.,Strong Communication Skills.,Highly organized with attention to detail and an ability to analyze information.,Good working knowledge of Capital Markets operational functions and processes including familiarity with front, middle and back office trading and operating platforms and sub-ledger systems.,BBA/BCOM/BSC/MBA (nice-to-have).,Knowledge of QlikView, SQL (as asset).
