Analyst, Finance

Description

This role is for a Finance Analyst with strong analytical and technical skills, capable of identifying and resolving issues, managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and building strong business relationships. The position involves overseeing reporting and analysis of monthly/quarterly operating results, planning, forecasting, and productivity. Key responsibilities include providing insightful commentary to senior management, assisting in presentation material development, identifying business opportunities, and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders. The analyst will also manage ad hoc requests, participate in special projects, and contribute to process improvements, acting as a knowledge leader for financial performance.

What We're Looking For

Oversee reporting and analysis for monthly/quarterly operating results, planning & forecasting, and productivity reporting.,Provide insightful and relevant commentary to Senior Management on business results, Forecast, and Plan.,Summarize large amounts of information into meaningful key messages.,Assist in the development and review of presentation materials for Executives.,Proactively identify business opportunities and assist in solving challenges.,Develop and maintain solid and effective working relationships with Business Partners, Segment Finance, Enterprise Strategy & Decision Support, Project delivery teams, and other stakeholders.,Manage ad hoc requests and participate in special projects/initiatives for the consolidated Risk Management team.,Provide thought leadership and recommendations for identifying and implementing process improvements.,Act as a knowledge leader for each area's finances and performance, creating and delivering ad-hoc analyses, special projects/reports, and training.,Perform monthly analysis and reporting of revenue and expenses for the Management Reporting team, including preparation of expense packages and designing charts/graphs.,Investigate variances and assist in timely issue resolution, escalating matters when appropriate.,Have a good understanding of accounting principles and standards.,Take a proactive role in the quarterly expense forecasting and annual planning processes.,Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure a robust forecast and plan is built, reviewed, and agreed upon.,Gain thorough knowledge of systems used for expense reporting and analysis, identifying and implementing process improvements/automation.,Specializes in particular finance areas according to established policies and procedures and legal/regulatory guidelines.,Provides ongoing, proactive, specialized finance advice and counsel to business partners.,Communicates and meets regularly with partners to understand their business and provide accounting/taxation insight.,Recognizes, identifies, and investigates business accounting issues, researches, offers opinions, and resolves problems.,Responds to accounting-related requests on a timely basis.,Provides technical guidance and assists staff with complex work.,Resolves escalated issues by conferring with peers and other departments.,Ensures accurate and timely monthly recording of income, expense, and other financial transactions.,Researches and determines proper accounting treatment for new products and services.,Performs activities related to month-end financial closing and/or regulatory reports.,Reviews monthly financial activity, ensures transactions are recorded appropriately, researches discrepancies, and makes corrections.,Adhere to enterprise frameworks, policies, and practices.,Ensure business operations comply with internal and external requirements (e.g., financial controls).,Participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert.,Conduct internal and external research projects; support presentations/communications.,Conduct meaningful analysis to draw conclusions and make recommendations.,Monitor service, productivity, and assess efficiency levels, implementing continuous process improvements.,Lead/facilitate and/or implement action/remediation plans for performance/risk/governance issues.,Manage relationships across business lines and corporate/control functions.,Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements.,Maintain a culture of risk management and control.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree,5+ years of relevant experience,Accounting designation required (e.g., CPA, CMA)
