The Analyst, ETD Control role at RBC focuses on ensuring the efficient daily execution of tasks and fostering strong collaboration with the London team. Key responsibilities include managing Front Office/Back Office and Broker reconciliations, financial and exchange reporting, balance sheet attestation, and handling internal controls and ad-hoc data requests. The position also involves adherence to internal policies, regulatory compliance, risk prevention, and participation in system user acceptance testing.
Ensure efficient day-to-day task completion and collaboration with the London team.,Manage Front Office/Back Office & Broker reconciliations, financial and exchange reporting, and balance sheet attestation.,Complete internal controls and ad-hoc data requests.,Responsible for FOBO, cash, fees, and balance sheet reconciliations, and escalation of persistent exceptions.,Adhere to the RBC attestation policy for balance sheet attestation.,Understand required ledger postings for ETD and OTC contracts.,Perform operational financial reporting and ad-hoc requests.,Conduct UAT for Vendor or exchange software/hardware upgrades or technical process changes.,Adhere to relevant standing orders and operational procedures, including escalation.,Work to prevent, detect, and eliminate risk and liability.,Meet all Regulatory reporting obligations by deadlines.,Understand and abide by the Payment Risk Standing Order.,Ensure daily tasks align with RBC policies, procedures, and key controls.,Adhere to mandatory training requirements and suggest additional training.,Ensure PRIMA maps and procedures are up to date and follow RBC Policies.,Ensure critical manual tasks are four-eyed by appropriate staff.,Remain enthusiastic during change and communicate support for Management Decisions.,Foster collaborative working relationships with global stakeholders (technology, operations, Front Office).
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred.,Basic knowledge of one or more disciplines: Clearing, Reconciliations, Control, Regulatory Reporting, and Operational Risk Management.,Basic knowledge of RBC and vendor back and middle office systems.,Basic knowledge of major Exchange and CCP systems.,Basic knowledge of CCP BAU practices, adhoc events and associated rules and deadlines.,Basic knowledge of one or more regulatory regimes, including CASS, Transaction Reporting, MiFID II, EMIR.,Educated to A level standard.,Nice-to-have: Understanding of financial markets, operational flows and risks.,Nice-to-have: Past or current knowledge of one or more disciplines: Clearing, Reconciliations, Control, Regulatory Reporting, Client On-Boarding, KYC.,Nice-to-have: Recognised Industry qualifications: CISI, Eurex Clearing Qualified Clearing Staff (QBO).
