Description

This role involves providing technical analyses and support for the actuarial function, applying seasoned knowledge to various assignments. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining AXIS valuation models for RBC Insurance lines of business, reviewing and investigating these models for appropriateness, presenting quality assurance results to stakeholders, and supporting internal and external auditors. The analyst will also assist with the model change management process, liaise with various internal departments, engage with IFRS 17 modeling, and support actuarial projects like software conversions and system migrations.

What We're Looking For

Create and maintain AXIS valuation models for all RBC Insurance lines of businesses.,Review and investigate AXIS valuation models and other key actuarial processes to provide assurance of model appropriateness.,Present results of quality assurance reviews to key stakeholders and/or management to enable corrective action where necessary.,Provide support to internal and external auditors (as potential GRM-I liaison), under the guidance of the manager, during the department's periodic internal and external audits.,Assist with the model change management process and enterprise model risk policy that maintain valuation model integrity.,Liaise with pricing, business, IT and other actuarial & non-actuarial areas within RBCI as needed.,Involve with IFRS 17 modeling.,Support projects such as actuarial modeling software conversion, system migration, new funds and so on.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's Degree required.,Minimum 1+ years of relevant work experience or internship experience.,Minimum 2 SOA Exams completed.
