Actuarial Analyst III

Description

TD Insurance is seeking an Actuarial Analyst III to perform and analyze actuarial research and audits, ensuring alignment with risk mitigation and business growth objectives. This role involves developing, calculating, and checking policy values, profit studies, and reserve programs. The analyst will also develop monitoring reports, interpret actuarial techniques, and provide technical support for insurance plan development. Additionally, the role includes enhancing functional procedures, ensuring compliance, managing relationships with stakeholders, and contributing to team development.

What We're Looking For

Direct, prepare, perform, and analyze actuarial research and audits,Ensure risk mitigation and business growth objectives are aligned,Develop, calculate and check policy values; profit studies, reserve programs, rate files, and procedures,Assist in preparing actuarial portion of financial reports and tax returns,Develop appropriate monitoring reports for analyzing company underwriting and claims experience,Review and interpret the indications of standard actuarial techniques, and recognize situations that require modifications to normal procedures,Coordinate the preparation of documentation to support actuarial conclusions,Provide technical support for development of insurance plans and programs,Develop and enhance functional procedures including review for actuarial soundness,Ensure maintenance of controls, policies and procedures for the actuarial function,Support implementation of best practices, risk mitigation, risk controls as well as process, policy and procedures for the actuarial function,Assist with organization's financial structure, complete financial projections, and perform actuarial analysis,Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies,Ensure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements,Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert,Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development/ delivery of presentations / communications,Lead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance/risk/governance issues,Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions,Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts,Maintain a culture of risk management and control,Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels,Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment,Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for own area of expertise and participate in knowledge transfer,Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques,May provide guidance on day to day professional work of other team members / actuarial analysts,Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training,May supervise other team members / actuarial professionals and/or provide day to day work direction,Keep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects,Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship,Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners / stakeholders,Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce,Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank

Ideal Candidate
