Description

The Actuarial Analyst II role at TD Bank involves performing comprehensive actuarial analyses to support pricing strategies, monitor performance, and improve financial outcomes across various insurance products. Key responsibilities include developing deep analytics on business results, providing technical expertise in data modeling and visualization, presenting strategic recommendations to leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address business challenges and optimize claims processes to enhance both customer and colleague experiences.

What We're Looking For

University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's).,Minimum of 3 years of relevant actuarial experience, with some postings specifically mentioning Property & Casualty experience.,Completion of preliminary actuarial exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society or actively working towards ACAS/FCAS designation.,Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in programming/analytical tools such as SQL, R, Python, and VBA.,Strong analytical skills, aptitude for teamwork, and ability to make sound decisions.,Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate resilience, initiative, and creativity in problem-solving.,Good organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and rigor.,Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingualism in English and French is an asset for some roles.,Knowledge of financial statements, the insurance industry, and reinsurance concepts.,Ability to stay updated with developments in advanced modeling and effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.,Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.,Working towards ACAS or FCAS designation.,Knowledgeable in financial statements, the insurance industry, and reinsurance concepts.,Predictive modeling experience is an asset.,Experience with methods, techniques, and tools to support model explainability and bias/fairness assessments is an asset.
