The Actuarial Analyst II role at TD Bank Group in Montreal involves applying actuarial and advanced analytical techniques within TD Insurance. What We're Looking For

Execute monthly financial reporting for reinsurance, analyzing recoverable amounts.,Assist in the annual reinsurance treaty renewal process and strategy review.,Forecast losses for budget planning and conduct periodic follow-ups.,Develop projects to enhance reinsurance performance, with a focus on climate and risk assessments.,Apply governance principles, including SOX, audits, and model validations.,Foster relationships with the Claims department for better claim lifecycle monitoring.,Present reinsurance information to internal partners, addressing potential impacts.,Create reusable tools for improved workflow.,Develop and support deep analytics on business results and performance to identify strategies for mitigating inflation and operational growth.,Provide technical expertise across data analysis functions including data modeling, visualization, and data profiling.,Present and share ideas and strategic recommendations to leadership and other partners.,Collaborate closely with business subject matter experts to capture business challenges and translate them into technical requirements.,Propose data-driven solutions to enhance customer and colleague experience.,Communicate complex financial concepts to non-technical audiences.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.,Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (including internships and part-time roles).,Working towards ACAS or FCAS designation (or completion of at least 2 actuarial exams from the Casualty Actuarial Society).,Understanding of financial statements, the insurance industry, and reinsurance concepts.,Knowledge of data modeling, visualization, and data profiling.

Special Commitments

Role is temporarily eligible for a pay premium above the posted salary range that is reassessed annually.,Language Requirement (Quebec only): Bilingual in English and French is required.
