Description

This is an entry-level Actuarial Analyst position at TD Insurance, focusing on Data & Analytics. The role provides analytical support to the Actuarial function, assisting with statistical analyses, financial statements, and developing actuarial data, models, and tools. Responsibilities also include preparing documents for regulatory submissions, managing confidential information, identifying risks, and fostering innovation. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a team, continuously enhancing expertise and participating in knowledge transfer.

What We're Looking For

Provide general analytical support to the Actuarial function,Assist in the preparation of statistical analyses or financial statements, documenting and verifying applied factors, methodologies and assumptions,Assist in developing management, financial and actuarial data, models or tools,Produce documents for regulatory submissions,Exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality,Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends,Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk activities as necessary,Identify, recommend and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the discipline,Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines,Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts,Contribute to the rating team’s innovation culture,Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes,Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment,Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer,Participate in personal performance management and development activities,Keep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or daily activities,Contribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others, providing training, coaching and/or guidance,Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce,Act as a brand champion for your business area/function and the bank

Ideal Candidate
