ACH Operations Manager

Description

The ACH Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team, ensuring high performance and service quality in ACH operations. This role involves managing daily production activities, including resource allocation, budgeting, and process improvement, while also addressing escalated issues and contributing to strategic initiatives and operational effectiveness. The manager will motivate, mentor, and train staff, maintain policies, and ensure compliance with banking regulations.

What We're Looking For

Lead a team of 4 processing resources, potentially including nights and weekends.,Responsible for scheduling, performance evaluations, quality, and productivity of direct reports.,Establish strong working relationships with key business partners (Treasury Management, Commercial Banking, Deposit Ops, AML, Internal Audit, Risk & Governance).,Ensure strong quality and productivity of the ACH processing team.,Responsible for all training and cross-training to minimize key people risk.,May manage special projects or contribute to project teams.,Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training materials.,Participate in long-term and strategic planning.,Maintain awareness of industry leading practices.,Assist in the development and implementation of contingency plans.,Participate in Audit and Compliance review activities.,Identify and assist in the implementation of process improvements to increase STP rates and error reduction.,Comply with all policies, procedures, and banking regulations.

Ideal Candidate

Deep understanding of ACH processing and electronic payment platforms.,Knowledge of Nacha Operating Rules and regulations.,Familiarity with banking laws, fraud prevention, and regulatory requirements.,Proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Office, and potentially project tools like Jira.,Basic accounting principles, financial transactions, and reconciliation skills.,7+ years of ACH/Payments experience.,AAP, APRP, and/or CTP highly desirable.,BA/BS degree.
