The Account Manager is responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales targets for Charles River products and services in a designated geographical region. This role significantly contributes to the discovery, development, and safe manufacture of new drug therapies.
Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
Increase market share and revenue by collaborating with internal teams.
Generate account-specific sales strategies.
Prepare and provide accurate account forecasts.
Develop and qualify account leads through frequent customer contact and prospecting.
Build relationships with customers to promote product and service acceptance.
Communicate available and new products and services to customers.
Handle initial inquiries and qualify prospective opportunities.
Utilize CRM (SFDC) for customer information, pipeline management, and activity documentation.
Work closely with specialist sales staff for a cohesive customer experience.
Demonstrate proficiency in competitor profiles and developing positioning strategies.
Consistently achieve all revenue targets.
Proficiently sell the entire portfolio of Microbial Solutions Products and Services.
Complete all required sales documentation timely.
Participate in sales meetings and trade shows.
Share customer problems/concerns with appropriate departments for resolution.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in life sciences, sales or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in the life science industry.
Valid driver’s license required.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in standard office computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, e-mail).
