Account Manager, Commercial Banking (Agriculture)

Description

This role within the Commercial Banking's specialized agriculture group at National Bank involves supporting agribusiness clients in a specific region with their financial projects. The Account Manager will focus on client support, building lasting business relationships within the agribusiness community, and driving business development for their assigned region. The position is based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, and involves a hybrid work model with occasional travel for meetings.

What We're Looking For

Implement business development strategies for sustained growth.,Perform in-depth analyses of client portfolios to identify advisory opportunities.,Establish trust-based relationships with colleagues and collaborate to meet client needs.,Negotiate terms and conditions of agreements to maximize profitability.,Understand general issues specific to various production sectors.,Participate in targeted visibility activities to generate contacts and expand network.,Maintain the quality of the loan and deposit portfolio.

Ideal Candidate

A bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience,OR a master's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience,OR an undergraduate diploma and 8 years of relevant experience,Relevant experience in the field of agriculture,Experience in business development and client portfolio management,Credit and banking industry experience (an asset)
