3rd shift Cooler Warehouse Operator

Description

This position is primarily responsible for the safe loading and unloading of finished goods according to customer orders and specifications. It involves maintaining accurate inventory control using first-in/first-out (FIFO) methods to optimize product rotation and code dates. The role also requires the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment and automated warehouse management software.

What We're Looking For

Safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment including lift trucks, pallet jacks, and electric battery handling equipment.,Effective and accurate operation of automated warehouse management software controls, inventory scanning, and management tools.,Safe and efficient loading and unloading of trailers, adhering to internal and external requirements.,Loading refrigerated trailers in accordance with customer specifications.,Following FIFO and inventory control practices and procedures.,Safe and efficient operation of stretch-wrapping and palletizing equipment (if applicable).,Performing pre and post load inspections of trailers.,Effective communication with internal and external customers.,Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) in detail without deviation.,Performing equipment safety pre-operational inspections.,Accurately and neatly completing warehouse shipping and receiving records and documents.,Performing department environmental and housekeeping controls.,Performing product rework and repack operations to fulfill customer orders.,Supporting internal and external audits.,Following all established occupational health and safety procedures, GMP's, and Food Safety requirements.,Complying with federal, state, and local dairy food regulations.,Adhering to the Saputo code of ethics and actively applying Saputo values.,Working together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.,Operation of the yard tractor to jockey trailers in and out of the warehouse dock doors.,Other duties as required by management.

Ideal Candidate

Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck certification and maintain certification.,Experience in warehouse operations in a shipping/receiving role.,Food manufacturing experience (a plus).,Strong math skills.,Good computer software skills, SAP (a plus).,Strong verbal and written communication skills.,Demonstrated work history.,Good attendance is a must.

Work Hours

This is a hands-on role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Can be rotating shifts, days, swing or night shift and also includes working weekends. Workdays and shifts may change to help cover vacations

Special Commitments

Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, and humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift. Requires working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures. Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50-pounds independently throughout the shift and/or move up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Requires shift flexibility.
