The role of a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician at Saputo involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment while adhering to safety and maintenance protocols to support business objectives. This includes diagnosing equipment issues, performing routine maintenance like cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments, disassembling and reassembling machinery for repairs, and repairing or replacing malfunctioning components. The technician will also work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors, VFD/HMI/Servo controls, conveying systems, industrial printers, and other industrial machinery. Additionally, the role requires operating and supporting industrial, refrigeration, boiler, and utility operations, as well as maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
Perform diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.,Analyze test results, machine error messages, and operator information to diagnose equipment problems.,Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.,Disassemble and reassemble machinery for repairs.,Examine parts for defects.,Observe and test machinery operation to diagnose malfunctions.,Operate newly repaired machinery to verify adequacy of repairs.,Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, VFD/HMI/Servo control devices, conveying systems, industrial printers, valves, photo eyes, switches, heat exchangers, level controls.,Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components.,Refer to blueprints and manufacturer's manuals for installation and operation.,Operate and support industrial, refrigeration, boiler, and utility operations.,Cut and weld metal for repairs, fabrication, and assembly.,Demonstrate equipment functions to operators.,Program computer-controlled machinery.,Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to production needs.,Complete accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records, work orders, and task records in SAP or other MIS/ERP system.,Comply with SOPs, federal, state, and local safety regulations, SQF, Company GMP, and 5S guidelines.,Adhere to Saputo code of ethics and values.,Work professionally in a team environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.,Industrial ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler, and utility experience.,1-2 years prior industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.,Ability to utilize computer-based maintenance planning/PM ERP platforms (SAP a plus).,Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.,Strong electrical background in addition to mechanical skills.,Experience with computerized or automated controls and ability to read electric schematics (a plus).,Demonstrated work history.
