This Summer Analyst position within CIBC's Global Markets team in New York offers a 10-week internship program. Participants will gain hands-on experience through two five-week placements in sales or trading roles, focusing on delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to corporate, government, and institutional clients. The program provides a comprehensive view of Global Markets, covering various asset classes and product categories.
Participate in two five-week placements in sales or trading within CIBC's wholesale bank's trading floor.,Develop familiarity with key asset classes, product categories, client types, and job functions within Global Markets.,Assist in preparing detailed analyses, financial modeling, structuring, and research to identify opportunities and support senior professionals.,Contribute to timely and accurate client-facing materials and internal processes through effective communication and collaboration.,Demonstrate passion for financial markets and strong teamwork.,Apply a technical skillset to help generate insights and/or optimize processes.
Enrolled in an undergraduate degree in a Business or STEM discipline (including Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering) or a Liberal Arts discipline with demonstrated strong quantitative coursework at the time of the internship.,Expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028.,Resume should include GPA and expected graduation date.,Proven record of academic success.
