The Investment Banking Summer Analyst will be part of the Montreal coverage group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and equity capital markets (ECM) transactions across various industries. The role involves working with experienced professionals to generate ideas, advise clients, and execute transactions. Key responsibilities include financial analysis, valuation modeling, assisting with negotiations, and preparing client-facing documents.
Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and M&A opportunities.
Develop valuation models for individual private and public companies, as well as merged entities.
Apply various valuation tools to assess opportunities.
Value private and public companies.
Assist with client negotiations and documentation.
Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos.
Prepare client presentations based on analytical findings.
Graduating in December 2027 or spring/summer 2028 with an undergraduate degree.
Possess a combination of strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid foundation in finance or mathematics.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., sports, clubs, extracurricular activities, philanthropy).
