This role supports the Plant Engineering team, assisting with engineering activities related to GMP utilities, HVAC, and facilities systems. It offers hands-on exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, clean utilities, HVAC systems, and regulated engineering practices, including operational support, data gathering, documentation, and project tasks within a GMP environment. The position runs from July 13th to December 11th, 2026.
Assist Plant Engineers with engineering support activities for GMP utilities, including WFI systems, process gases, and supporting infrastructure.,Support technical activities related to grey utilities (e.g., chilled water, steam, boilers, condensate) and associated building management systems (BMS), primarily through observation, data collection, and analysis.,Gain exposure to GMP HVAC systems, including cleanroom concepts, air distribution, HEPA filtration, pressure differentials, and alarm strategies.,Support troubleshooting efforts by collecting data, reviewing trends, and documenting observations under guidance from experienced engineers.,Assist with documentation activities, including drafting technical summaries, updating procedures, supporting change controls, and organizing engineering records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.,Participate in cross-functional meetings with Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, and external vendors to gain exposure to collaborative problem-solving in a regulated environment.,Support small engineering projects or project phases, such as equipment walkdowns, drawing reviews, commissioning support, or validation documentation preparation.,Observe and support safety-related activities, including hazard identification, safe work practices, and adherence to site safety procedures.,Follow all applicable GxP requirements, company policies, SOPs, and work instructions while performing assigned tasks.,Complete all required training assignments and actively seek learning opportunities to build technical and professional skills.
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.,Interest in facilities engineering, utilities, HVAC systems, or pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing.,Familiarity with basic engineering principles; prior internship, co-op, or lab experience is a plus but not required.,Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document work clearly and professionally.,Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.,Ability to learn quickly, follow direction, and work effectively in a team-based environment.,Demonstrated professionalism, curiosity, and a willingness to ask questions and take initiative within assigned responsibilities.,Must already hold work authorization in US and be able to maintain that status without the need for future sponsorship.
