RBC Capital Markets is looking for a Quantitative Trading Analyst to join their Global Equities team on Canada's largest trading floor. The role involves applying advanced quantitative techniques to develop and optimize trading strategies, conducting data analysis, building trading models, and collaborating with professionals to drive success in a high-energy environment. The team focuses on advancing equities trading strategies and systems globally, contributing to projects with real-world impact on RBC Capital Markets' operations. They emphasize creative problem-solving and advanced quantitative modeling to enhance trading systems.

What We're Looking For

Research, create, and implement quantitative trading strategies using optimization and machine-learning techniques.,Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to expand existing algorithms that process millions of shares and thousands of trades per second.,Analyze market data to investigate unexplored structural research areas.,Think critically and creatively within a collaborative team on Canada's largest trading floor.,Build and maintain advanced analytical tools to support research/trading activities and improve efficiencies.,Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, IT, risk management, and middle/back office to drive strategic initiatives and optimize trading performance.,Actively assist the team with booking, reporting, and market analysis in futures, forwards, swaps, option combos, and ETFs.

Ideal Candidate

Post-secondary education in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Computer Science (Must Have).,Creative and novel problem-solving approach (Must Have).,Strong math and statistics background (Must Have).,Strong programming experience, e.g., Python (Must Have).,Experience in statistical modeling (Must Have).,Proficiency in optimization and Bayesian statistics (Must Have).,Strong desire to be part of a team and excellent communication skills (Must Have).,Experience in finance not required (Must Have).,Familiarity with Black-Scholes options pricing models and listed options generally (Nice to Have).
